Critical research notebooks

Organising the notebook

There are many ways of doing this and ultimately it is whatever is helpful to you that matters

one page could be a complete list of resources (sites, books, etc) although your cover sheet may contain these anyway
one page could be about your Primary research (methods, evaluation, examples)
one page could be about your Secondary research (methods, evaluation, examples)

an alternative would be to have a page on stuff for Q.1- what you'll say about your methods, key quotes, etc
then a page for q.2 on what the arguments are and how your points might link to them

whatever is in your notes should really be stuff you would not otherwise remember anyway e.g. quotes, stats etc
you could use diagrams, tables, spider diagrams, etc
you MUST NOT take in notes for the real exam which look like an essay !
